WIND
IN THE
P52
order. With Brown now in the
lead, the order all moved up one
spot. DiFrancesco stayed close
in race one but couldn't manage
to challenge his teammate for
the win. Brown took the win over
"Ryder D" and Broc Tickle.
Tickle fired back in moto two
with a big holeshot on his factory-
prepped KX450. The Kawasaki
test rider used the larger 450 to
his advantage on the start and on
the inclines at Glen Helen, but a
pair of 250s, ridden by DiFrances
-
co and Julien Beaumer, started off
closely in tow. Tickle rode off from
the front for the entirety of the
race, however, and led every lap.
Ryder D again stayed up front,
with KTM's Beaumer just behind
in third. Beaumer chipped away
at the gap to second and even
-
tually caught the GasGas rider
late in the moto. Beaumer's pass
didn't affect DiFrancesco's over
-
all score and, with Tickle alone at
the front, the number-34 cruised
it in for third place. DiFrancesco's
third in the second moto earned
him second overall on the day.
Beaumer's pass moved him to
second in the race and bumped
him to third overall. Brown
crashed out of moto two, going
1-31 for 15th overall.
