MotoGP broke the record for race weekend
attendance, with the French Grand Prix
recording 297,471 paying customers through
the gates over the three-day event. The
timing of the record couldn't have been more
pertinent for series owner Dorna, who falsely
stated the recent Jerez round had a record
attendance of 278,805 in what amounted
to a "small" miscalculation of over 100,000
people. At least they got this one right.
