ROUND 15 / APRIL 27, 2024
LINCOLN FINANCIAL FIELD / PHILADELPHIA, PENNSYLVANIA
SUPERCROSS I MONSTER ENERGY AMA SUPERCROSS CHAMPIONSHIP / SUPERMOTOCROSS WORLD CHAMPIONSHIP
P68
to pass on. That didn't seem to
faze the reigning champ, who
eventually found himself second
and working toward the leader,
Lawrence. Sexton set the fast-
est lap of the race, a full half-
second
quicker than Lawrence,
but ran out of time late in the
race. A second-place result
keeps him fourth in points, and
now he is just two back from Eli
Tomac in third.
"I had a horrible gate pick from
the heat when I went down,"
Sexton said. "I didn't get a great
start and I was able to make my
way through the pack and had
some good laps. I think I had
some more of my normal speed;
I haven't really had it all year but
I feel like I'm coming into form in
these final races of the series."
MCADOO/ ROCZEN OUT
Both Cameron McAdoo and Ken
Roczen sat out round 15 due to
injuries sustained at the previ-
ous round in Nashville. McAdoo
suffered a broken scapula and
aggravated muscles in his shoul-
der, while Roczen's crash in the
whoops left him with a broken
tibial plateau, foot and toe. Both
will sit out the rest of the Super-
cross Championship.
TRIUMPH'S FIRST
Jalek Swoll earned Triumph its
first heat-race win. Swoll, the
brand's sole Supercross racer,
held off Deegan for the victory
in the second 250SX heat race.
He again ran in a podium posi-
tion during the main event before
crashing with Hammaker and
finishing eighth.
