years ago, LaRocco for winning the Dallas Supercross and Sadowski
for winning the WERA opener at Road Atlanta. Jimmy Button won the
125cc main at Dallas... Desert racer Danny Hamel edged out Randy
Hawkins to win the William's Ranch ISDE Qualifier in Texas... We
interviewed GP road racer Doug Chandler, who was about to begin his
fourth year on the 500cc circuit.
Nathan Woods won the WORCS round in Price, Utah, and was
pictured on the cover 20 years ago. Rodney Smith also got a
piece of the cover for winning the Loretta Lynn's round of the
combined GNCC and Hare Scrambles Championship race...
Kevin Windham won the Salt Lake City penultimate round of
the THQ Supercross. Points leader Chad Reed was hoping
to clinch the title there only to learn he had been docked 25
points for using illegal fuel at the previous race. Now, the title
would be decided at the final round in Las Vegas.
