ROUND 14 / APRIL 20, 2024 NISSAN STADIUM / NASHVILLE, TENNESSEE SUPERCROSS I MONSTER ENERGY AMA SUPERCROSS SERIES / SUPERMOTOCROSS WORLD CHAMPIONSHIP P80 joys a 13-point advantage over Deegan, while McAdoo slips to third. "I couldn't see Haiden [Deegan] or Cameron [McAdoo] during the race, so I knew I was good," said Vialle. "I didn't want to take any more risks in the last three or four minutes because I knew no one from my coast was right there." The real drama came from both points leaders crashing together in turn two of the main event. Levi Kitchen tangled with teammate Cameron McAdoo and the two Kawasaki riders Tom Vialle finished third, making him the best East Coast racer of the night. Vialle set the pace all day for the East divi - sion, posting the fast qualifying lap, winning the heat race, and then landing on the podium in the main event. The KTM rider also benefited from the troubles of his East Coast rivals, Camer- on McAdoo and Haiden Deegan. With McAdoo pulling out of the race and Deegan finishing outside the top five, Vialle stole away the series points lead. Vialle has landed on the box in every race but one and now en- normally finds himself with a poor start and charging from the back as the race wears on. With two back-to-back second-place finishes, Shimoda is now fourth in points, 10 back from Smith, who remains in third. "I feel like I finally figured out the starts, and that was the biggest thing for me," Shimoda said. "I wish I could've done this from the first round, but I feel like things are finally getting dialed into where I can ride at my 100 percent. I just have to build confidence going into the outdoors now." RJ Hampshire won the 250SX East-West Showdown and took over the West points lead. PHOTO: ALIGN MEDIA
