When Troy Herfoss turned up to
America at the start of the year,
only a few would remember just
how good he was on a supermo-
to during that discipline's glory
years of the mid-2000s. Fast
forward 17 years, and after re-
turning to Australia to take three
ASBK Superbike titles, Herfoss
is back with a vengeance and
now has the King of The Baggers
field very worried after one of the
most dominating performances
in the class's short history.

move to shoot back to P1 by the
final corner and held the position
to the line.
Davis came home for an
excellent second place ahead of
Scholtz, with Alexander fourth
and Uruguayan Maximiliano
Gerardo having a brilliant ride to
take fifth on the TopPro Racing
Team Suzuki.
Race two was a far more
sedate affair thanks to the rain,
with Jacobsen taking a 2.7-sec

ond win to lead a Rahal Ducati
Moto 1-2 from Alexander and
Jake Lewis (Altus Motorsports
Suzuki). Scholtz was fourth, and
Alfonso Linares (Zinc AL 32 Rac-
ing Ducati) was fifth.
Vision Wheel M4 Ecstar Suzu-
ki's Tyler Scott had qualified on
pole but ended up on his head,
crashing out of the lead group on
lap 12 at turn two and was lucky
not to be hit by the chasing pack.
Davis was looking good for a
debut class win but nothing was
assured, as he was in a knives-
out battle with Scholtz and Ja-
cobsen, with Alexander keeping
a watching brief in fourth.
Davis and Jacobsen put the
hammer down and eked out an
advantage, the result hinging
on who would be the last of the
late brakers going into the final
chicane.
Davis let the brakes off and
took the lead but ran wide. Ja-
