Trailblazers Honor
New Inductees
T
railblazers Motorcycle Club held its 79th
annual banquet at the Carson Center in
Carson, California, on April 6.
The night started with the Earl & Lucile Flan-
ders Lifetime Achievement Award, which this
year went to Rod Lake, a former dirt track racer
who has supported many up-and-coming rac-
ers and still supports several current racers.
Five-time MX World Champion Roger De-
Coster, who needs no introduction, was the
evening's first Hall of Fame inductee. Other in-
ductees included former Trailblazers President
Walt Fulton III, multi-time Motocross Champion
Broc Glover, nine-time female National MX Cham-
pion Mercedes Gonzalez-Natvig, former Houston
TT winner Mike Haney, and tuner/bike builder Pete
Pistone.
This year, David Aldana was the recipient of
the Dick Hammer Award, the highest honor in the
Trailblazers Hall of Fame.
