Aaron Joins CPD A s a 10-time National Trials Champion and for- mer GasGas Off-Road Manager, Geoff Aaron has joined Central Powersports Distribution (CPD), the U.S. importer and distributor of AJP, Electric Motion (EM), Rieju and SWM motorcy- cles. According to CPD, "Geoff's first task will be to focus on Electric Motion with the new Escape X, Escape XR and upcoming new EPure Factor-e trials model. Promotions, brand development, and dealer relationships will be the core efforts, along with creating a stronger relationship within the Southern California MC industry for all the CPD brands, including Rieju, SWM and AJP." CPD's Mark Berg, said, "Geoff's vast experi - ence in the off-road market and being based in Temecula, California, make him the perfect hire to help us gain the exposure and create the partnerships we want with the magazines and industry. Electric Motion has a bunch of new exciting products coming to the USA, with even more coming this fall. We need someone to fo - cus on EM right away, and there is no one better than Geoff to fill this role." Aaron said, "I had the opportunity to visit the new EM Factory in January for their EPure Factor-e launch and got to visit the Rieju team in Figueres, Spain. I am thrilled to be working with these brands along with the familiar CPD team in the USA. I have been experimenting with the EM [EPure] Comp for a month now and have been impressed by the technology and adjustability with the EM Connect platform. Being able to tune the motorcycle for all levels of riders from your phone is the future. The newest version EM EPure Factor-e with a four-speed gearbox is adding even more excitement and capability for top-tier trials competition. I am looking forward to helping CPD with the growth." CN WIND IN THE P34 Ten-time Trials champion Geoff Aaron has joined CPD-USA and will help promote its range of Electric Motion trials bikes. Lane Splitting Legalized in Colorado G overnor Jared Polis signed SB24-079 into law, which will legalize lane "filtering" beginning on August 7, 2024. It requires that motorcycles move at 15 mph or less on lanes wide enough and in conditions safe enough to pass safely. State Representative Ron Weinberg (R) was one of the bill's co-sponsors. He said that safety for motorcyclists was a big rea - son why he wanted it passed. "What people don't understand about motorcycles is [that] when we do get up into 100-degree weather, the road is so hot, sitting there and sucking in the fumes from the gas pipes. This is fully about safety," Weinberg said. Colorado joins California, Utah, Montana and Arizona, which already allow lane splitting. Missouri and Rhode Island are considering bills to legalize it as well. CN
