Despite crossing the finish line physically in second place, Tomac found himself the beneficiary of a red-cross flag situation at the finish-line jump and was granted the win. The winner, Lawrence, jumped Tomac's St. Louis win was a long time coming. The number- three has never gone this long in a series without winning a race. In what's been referred to as his "comeback season," Tomac kicked the night off with a big win as he held off Jett Lawrence in the final laps of race one. MYOWNRACE Tomac (3) took advantage of good starts and good decisions to win all three races of the final Triple Crown round of the year.
