of doing it."
Tomac again rode to a solid
second in race two and studied
the lines of Lawrence in the
process. Despite crossing the
finish line physically in second
place, Tomac found himself
the beneficiary of a red-cross
flag situation at the finish-line
jump and was granted the win.

Tomac's St. Louis win was a
long time coming. The number-
three has never gone this long in
a series without winning a race.
In what's been referred to as
his "comeback season," Tomac
kicked the night off with a big
win as he held off Jett Lawrence
in the final laps of race one.

Justin Cooper looked good during
his time at the front, but crashes
and poor starts held him back later
in the night. "My starts were kind of
hit-and-miss. My speed was good,
and I was able to lead a few laps in
the second main, but I was on the
ground in the first two mains, and
that didn't help things. So yeah, it
was just an up-and-down night. We'll
keep working and look to come back
after the break."

7TH (6-8-7) 250SX WEST
Julien Beaumer rode up front all
night but finished just outside the
top five in the overall rankings. "I got
two out of three good starts, was
consistent all night, and didn't make
too many mistakes. In the second
main, I had to fight from the back,
but I'm happy with my improve-
ments and look forward to going to
the next one."
MYOWNRACE
