Hunter Lawrence landed
on the box for his first career
450SX podium. The older
Lawrence brother has certainly
bounced back after sustaining
a broken scapula just a few
rounds back in Daytona, and he
built on his heat-race win from
a week ago in Seattle. Starts
proved to be his strong suit
in St. Louis, as he put himself
and it was a white flag mixed
with a red cross; I saw it right
when I was going up the face,
and I knew right then and there,
I did it," Webb said. "It was a
bit tricky, and I think a lot of us
didn't see it. Once I finally saw
it, I was about a foot from the
takeoff."
In race three, Webb followed
his Yamaha teammate in for his
best result of the night, earning
second in the race and in the
overall rankings. With chaos
going on behind him in the early
parts of race three, Webb cut
Lawrence's points lead in half and
I was getting in a bit of a slump
or a rough patch, or whatever
you want to call it. I feel like I'm
back now, and I'm excited for
the end of this series."
This win also puts Tomac at
the top of the all-time-podiums
list with 217, breaking a tie with
Ricky Carmichael.
Cooper Webb finished second
on the night with 5-6-2 finishes,
making it a Star Racing Yamaha
one-two punch on the podium.
Webb also found himself in

in race two set the
tone for number two before later
receiving a penalty, like Law

rence, for jumping the finish line
under the red-cross
conditions.
