Cole Thompson (Yam) 17 Laps "I feel like I haven't got one good start," Shimoda said. "I finally got a decent one but crashed out multiple times. Still, somehow, with the track being so difficult, I somehow managed to get on the podium. I believe I can still win, but the class is get - ting tighter and tighter, and you can't make any mistakes. I lost probably 10 seconds on the first lap and then probably another 10 seconds with the crash. There's just no room for mistakes." Garrett Marchbanks put up a fight to land him in fourth place ahead of Carson Mumford in fifth. Michael Mosiman returned to action for sixth ahead of Ju - lien Beaumer, Anthony Bourdon, Nate Thrasher and Cole Thomp- son. CN when [Jordon] Smith went down, I started doubling that rhythm. Just a really tough night. I didn't have what Levi had." Jo Shimoda rallied his way to third on the night in what proved to be an eventful main event. The Honda rider was again plagued by the opening half of the race and improved with each passing lap. He escaped disaster during a big crash while running inside the top five but remounted in eighth without any major issues. From there, it was hammer down for the Japanese native as he re-passed back into podium con - tention. Shimoda excelled as the track worsened, but again ruled himself out for the win early in the race. This is Shimoda's sec - ond consecutive podium. Jo Shimoda salvaged a podium despite several crashes.
