Aldeguer Joins Ducati for 2025 F ermin Aldeguer will step up to the MotoGP grid in 2025 after signing with the Ducati factory on a two-year agreement with an option to extend the contract for a further two years. The 18-year-old Spaniard, hot fa - vorite to win the 2024 Moto2 World Championship after dominating the last four races of 2023, will most likely end up in the Pramac team although no confirmation if Pramac or VR46 will retain his services has yet been made. Pramac currently fields Franco Morbidelli and Jorge Martin, the latter is widely tipped to move to the factory team alongside Pecco Bagnaia for 2025, thus making room for Aldeguer in what is re - garded as Ducati's junior team. "The time has arrived to take the big leap and compete with the world's finest riders, and what's more, I'll be doing it with the best bike on the grid," Aldeguer said. "I want to express my gratitude to Ducati, especially to Gigi Dall'Igna, for their faith in me from the begin - ning of our discussions. I extend my thanks to Luca Boscoscuro for everything we've shared and for what lies ahead of us this year." In 2021, Aldeguer started his GP career directly in the Moto2 category and he ended seventh in his debut race at Mugello (Ital - ian GP). In 2022, Fermin com- pleted his first full season, and in 2023, he claimed his maiden victory and secured a third-place finish in the riders' standings with five wins (four consecutive victories in the final four races), seven podium finishes, and three pole positions. CN WIND IN THE P58 Fermin Aldeguer will be on the MotoGP grid in 2025 as Ducati snags one of the hottest prospects in the GP paddock. Timur Sardarov Steps Down as MV Agusta's CEO T imur Sardarov has stepped down as MV Agusta's CEO following the completion of his five-year plan to revitalize the company's financial health. The Russian took over the reins of the historic marque from Giovanni Castiglioni, the Italian who inherited the company from his late father, Claudio, back in 2019. Sardarov will now hand the stewardship of MV Agusta to Hu - bert Trunkenpolz (the T in KTM), a member of the executive board of Pierer Mobility AG. Trunken- polz thus takes over the role of CEO and chairman with Sardarov occupying the vice-chairman, brand ambassador and consul - tant roles. KTM acquired 25.1 percent of MV Agusta in November 2022, with ownership increasing to a majority holding 50.1 percent in March 2024. "MV Agusta embodies passion and a unique sense of romance that captivated me, a seasoned entrepreneur, from day one," Sardarov said. "The personal challenge of guiding the com - pany out of crisis and steering it towards success through innovative business strate- gies, team expansion, and new product developments has been conquered. It is an honor to play a role in shaping MV Agusta's legacy. Over the past five years, both the company and I have evolved significantly. Our growth together is a testament to the transformative journey we've shared. My time with MV Agusta has been a pivotal chapter in my life, filled with mutual joys and challenges. As I continue to serve as a dedicated vice chair - man, I am committed to support- ing the company and its ongoing success." CN Timur Sardarov has stepped down as MV Agusta's CEO.
