Day In The Dirt South Returns
T
he Red Bull Day in the Dirt
returned to Dade City MX in
Florida, where "the fastest party
on two wheels" took place from
March 8 to 10.
Once again, hundreds of rac-
ers took part, including several
racers you might have heard
of, like Marvin Musquin, Josh
Grant, Jason Lawrence, Darryn
Durham, Ronnie Renner, Carson
Brown and Ryan Sipes. However,
it was Tyler Medaglia who won
the feature event, the Coup de
Grace Survival Race. This is the
race everyone looks forward to,
and it caps off the weekend of
racing. It was a packed field with
more than 130 finishers, and
none of them knew how long
they would be racing since the
end of this unique race is always
decided on the whim of the of
-
ficials while it's in progress. This
time, the checkered flag dropped
after 16 laps, and the winner
was the same as last year's—
Medaglia. He led them all, too.
Medaglia rounded the first lap
four seconds ahead of Camille
Chapeliere and stretched it out
to more than four minutes by the
time the checkered flag waved.
Daniel Jaramillo was third and
Justin Sipes was fourth, and
they were the last two to finish
the race on the lead lap. Brandon
Keene rounded out the top five.
Medaglia also won the Expert/
Pro 250 racing after leading all
eight laps. Ben Nelko was sec
-
ond and Travis Mecking third.

the Coup de Grace Survival
