Aussie Drane was credited
with 15th. He made up for that
disappointment the following
night when he controlled the
main event from beginning to
end. It was the first short track
win of Drane's young career and
served as further proof that he
has the goods to battle bar-to-
bar with Kopp all year long, even
if saddled with an early points
deficit.
Kopp claimed second, while
Gauthier finished third on the
D&D Certified/Vance & Hines,
a double-podium development
that got the former champ
reconsidering his earlier stated
plans to run only select events
in 2024.
