A Quick Tim Gajser Video F ive-time MXGP Champion Tim Gajser has been put through the wringer over the last two years. The Slovenian is back to full fitness after a massive acci- dent in preseason testing for the 2023 season saw the then-MXGP World Champion out for most of the season with a broken femur. Here, Gajser talks of his chanc- es with the new Honda CRF450 works machine and how he feels his new teammates, Ruben Fer - nandez and young Italian Ferruc- cio Zanchi, will fare in 2024. CN WIND IN THE P40 Seewer, Benistant Score at 2024 Sommieres International T he 57th running of the Inter- national of Sommieres saw many European heavyweights take to the gate for this classic MXGP preseason race. French fans saw Jeremy Seewer take his first-ever win with his new Kawa - saki, as he crossed the line first in both MXGP motos. Yamaha's Thibault Benistant earned the overall in MX2 with 2-1 scores. Seewer logged a perfect day as he set the fastest qualifying time before landing on top in the Superpole lap as well. The motos went smoothly for the new Kawa - saki rider as he swept both races ahead of Kawasaki teammate Romain Febvre and Standing Construct's Pauls Jonass. Febvre and Jonass logged consistent days, going 2-3 in both races. Red Bull KTM's Liam Everts struck first in the MX2 division, as he won the opening moto over Monster Energy Yamaha's Benistant and Triumph's Mikkel Haarup. Everts again started up front in race two, but an early mistake dropped him back while Benistant and Haarup battled for the lead. Benistant maintained the top spot to the checkered flag and used 2-1 scores to take the overall. Everts' 1-3 gave him second place with Haarup's 3-2 in third. CN MX1 1.
