"It's one of those things that if you do really
well in the first two, the third one is some-
times easy," Webb said. "I had a lot of wiggle
room and could have a solo ride in fifth place.
I saw Jason right in front of me go down. In-
stantly, I knew I could just chill, but I was still
grateful to put myself in that situation."
Eli Tomac landed on the overall podium in
second place with 5-7-1 finishes. The start of
Tomac's season has seen two ninths and two
seconds, showing the depth of the class and
how one mistake can nearly drop you out of
the top 10. The first two mains were nothing
special, but Tomac looked like the champion
of old in the final race of the night, as he
grabbed the lead in turn two and never looked
back. Tomac's points tied him for second, but
a win in the final race is always the best way
to break a tie.

and then had to try to make those
passes back. It has been a frustrating
start to the season."

8TH (10-5-6) 450SX
Justin Cooper matched his season
high of eighth at A2 and is holding
down 12th in the championship.
"Overall, it was a really positive day,"
Cooper said. "I started out the day
with the fastest qualifier, which was
awesome. I got the perfect lap at the
end of the session and followed it up
with three good starts. Unfortunately,
I got caught up in the first turn in the
first moto, which hurt my overall, but I
was a top-five guy all night."
