then charged forward to not be
out of my way," said Webb. "We

ting lapped last weekend but
felt that I was pretty respectful,
so it'll come around. It's tough
when you're in that situation
because you don't want to be
getting lapped by any means,
but you just have to respect the
leaders. It sucks to be that close
and not get our first win with the
team, but AP is one of my good
friends. So, as mad as I am right
now, I am stoked for him."

The newest addition to the Star
Racing Yamaha camp looked
comfortable on the greasy track
and quickly made his way up
from a fifth-place start. On mul

tiple occasions, Webb looked to
be cutting into Plessinger's lead,
but a mistake would set him
back. Then he'd get close again,
then another mistake. This
back-and-forth charge finally
came to a head when Webb
made contact with Chase Sex
-
ton. Sexton, a lapped rider and
Plessinger's KTM teammate, got
out of sorts as he moved from
the main line to let the leaders
by. Sexton's mistake forced him
into Webb's line where the two
connected, forcing Webb to roll
the following rhythm section.
Webb looked good in the
tough conditions for his
best finish of the year.
Barcia trailed the two
leaders and settled into
a comfortable third.
