ROUND 2 / JANUARY 13, 2024 ORACLE PARK / SAN FRANCISCO, CALIFORNIA SUPERCROSS I MONSTER ENERGY AMA SUPERCROSS SERIES / SUPERMOTOCROSS WORLD CHAMPIONSHIP P48 7 AARON PLESSINGER 5TH 450SX It was back-to-back top fives for Aaron Plessinger, who qualified first and doesn't mind when things get muddy. "The start of the main was horrible," he said. "I spun off the grate but made it through with all the guys on the ground—don't know how I did that. I lost goggles about mid-way, and I just did what I could to fortu- nately get back to fifth. We got some good points, sitting P4 now in the points." 34 RYDER DIFRANCESCO 18TH 250SX WEST Ryder Difrancesco took his first heat race victory but struggled with a mechanical in the main event. "It was a good night here until it wasn't!" DiFrancesco said. "All day, I felt good in the mud; I don't know where that comes from—maybe Bakersfield when it's muddy, but that's once a year. It was good to get my first heat race win, which is a cool feeling! We have a bunch of stuff to work on, but good thing we get to line up again next weekend." MYOWNRACE Eli Tomac rebounded nicely after his less- than-stellar start to the season last week.
