Hicks Scorches Dallas General Tire Arenacross
R
ounds 11 and 12 of the Gen-
eral Tire Arenacross Series
were held in Dallas, Texas, at
the Fair Park of Texas Coliseum.
Michael Hicks swept the week-
end's pro-class racing to further
extend his points lead.
In typical Hicks fashion, the
Rock River Yamaha rider domi-
nated the race, just as he's done
the previous four years. Hicks
made a clean sweep of the
weekend, taking the top spot
every time he lined up.
On Friday night, he was the
fastest qualifier before winning
both main events. The number-
one Yamaha then repeated the
act on Saturday night with a
1-1 victory over a stacked field.
Hicks is looking at a fifth title,
as he swept all four main events
and both head-to-head face-off
races. He's now stretched his
points lead to 20 over second
place, Ben Nelko.
Cheyenne Harmon finished
second overall on Friday night
with 3-2 finishes before jump
-
ing on a red eye flight to make
the San Francisco Supercross.
Harmon flip-flopped results with
Honda's Henry Miller, who went
2-3 for third on Friday night's
round 11.
Miller bumped up to second on
Saturday night with 3-2 results,
just ahead of Nelko's 2-4.
