Thirty years ago, we featured our test of the Kawasaki ZX-9R that
was pictured on the cover and titled it "The Return of the Ninja."... We
infiltrated a private test held at Daytona International Speedway of
the latest Harley-Davidson VR-1000 road racer. We pictured Miguel
Duhamel on the bike... CN contributor Larry Lawrence traveled to
Kentucky and interviewed brothers Tommy Hayden (16) and Nicky
Hayden (14)... We reviewed the
Suzuki DR350R o¡-roader and
Suzuki GSXR750 sport bike.
Chad Reed was pictured on the cover 20 years ago for winning
the Anaheim 1 Supercross Series opener. The Aussie led a
Yamaha sweep with teammates David Vuillemin and Tim Ferry.
Ivan Tedesco won the 125cc West class on the four-stroke
Kawasaki... We interviewed reigning Supercross Champion Ricky
Carmichael, who was sidelined from the 2004 Championship
