Triumph Announces 250cc SuperMotocross Team Riders T riumph Racing confirmed its riders who will make up its SuperMotocross Team for the 2024 season. Joey Savatgy, Jalek Swoll and Evan Ferry are the three riders who will fly the Triumph flag in the 2024 SuperMotocross Cham - pionship. Two of them will make their debut when the 2024 250SX East Supercross Championship starts in February; veteran racer Savatgy has pointed out of the 250cc class in Supercross and will have to wait until the outdoor MX series gets underway in May before he makes his Triumph debut. (Triumph's factory effort will only field a 250cc machine for the 2024 season.) All three riders have been training with former Pro Moto - cross Champion Mike Brown in readiness for the upcoming season. "To be a part of Triumph Rac- ing is very special," said Savatgy. "For where I'm at in my career, it gives me the opportunity to be back racing on factory equip- ment, which will allow me to prove to myself that I'm still capable of being a title contend- er. As the Triumph is an all-new bike, I expected it to take some time to get used to it, but it was actually quite quick and easy. In particular, the chassis has a soft feeling, and this makes the bike easy and comfortable to ride. The base platform of the standard bike is a great place to work from and I'm excited to get started with this new chapter in my career." "This is such a historic mo - ment for Triumph Motorcycles and to be a part of this is a great honor," said Team Manager Bobby Hewitt. "I'm happy with our lineup for our first season, bringing Triumph into the Super - Motocross series. Having Jalek, Evan and Joey on the team, who have all worked with me before, has been very useful for working through our schedule of race de - velopment with the new TF 250- X and preparing for the upcom- ing season. With our three riders we have a solid starting lineup for our first season in AMA Su- percross and Pro Motocross. "Everyone on the team and at Triumph has been work - ing exceptionally hard behind the scenes to bring everything together for the 2024 season," Hewitt continued. "Really, ev- erything has gone to plan, the only change I've had to make is to race 250SX East for the first year. My original plan was to have Joey on the West, as he has the most experience, with Jalek and Evan on the East. At the time, it was a decision I had to make, even though it was be - fore the final ruling by the Steer- ing Committee regarding Joey's eligibility. At the time, I felt very confident in my decision, but it didn't go as we hoped, so obvi - ously the plan changed." CN WIND IN THE P32 Triumph Racing will make its Supercross debut in the 250SX East Series with riders Jalek Swoll and Evan Ferry. Joey Savatgy will join them in the outdoor MX championship.
