Bezzecchi taking third on the timesheets after 62
laps, while Di Giannantonio ended the day sev-
enth after 60 laps on the GP23 Ducati.
"It's
been great!" Di Giannantonio enthused.
"I'm very happy with the team, the welcome was
just amazing. I felt a really warm feeling. On
track, we were quite fast. We didn't change much
on the new bikeāit's just been a great start to
this new chapter."
LCR HONDA
Former Prima Pramac Ducati rider Johann Zarco
made his return to the team he rode a few races
for at the end of his tumultuous 2019 season,
LCR Honda. Replacing the departing Alex Rins,
Zarco knocked out 61 laps on the 2023-spec
Honda RC213V to finish 17th, four places up on
his incumbent teammate, Takaaki Nakagami. The
Japanese put a run of 63 laps together, finishing
1.7 seconds off Vinales in first place.
APRILIA SATELLITE TEAM
The team formerly known as RNF Aprilia was out
on track at Valencia even though they still don't

MotoGP sophomore and former Moto 2 World
Champion Augusto Fernandez finished four
places ahead of his star rookie teammate in 14th
after 72 laps.
"We worked on small details today and com

pleted more laps here, the ones I didn't get to
do
in the race," Fernandez said. "Good laps and
good pace and a good way to finish the year. I'm
looking ahead to Sepang now because that's
when we'll have the new bike and I'm keen to see
how it is."
VR46 DUCATI
Still running the colors of soon-to-depart title
sponsor Mooney, the VR46 Ducati duo of Marco
Bezzecchi and new teammate Fabio Di Giannan

tonio both put in impressive performances with
Johann Zarco is back with the team that saved his
MotoGP career in 2019. He faired reasonably well on
the Honda to go 17th.
Marco Bezzecchi was unassuming, marching to the
third-fastest time. Di Giannantonio made it two VR46
bikes in the top seven.
