One day off, and it was already back
to work for the MotoGP brigade with
new bikes, new tech, new faces and
one very familiar face making his much
anticipated Ducati debut
T
he MotoGP paddock barely had time to get rid of Sunday night's
hangover after the dramatic season finale when they were back
to work to kick off preparations for the 2024 season.
In a series of firsts, the one everyone was focused on was that
of Marc Marquez, who made his historic debut with the Ducati Des
-
mosedici GP23 for Gresini Racing alongside his younger brother, Alex.
Pedro Acosta was another rider who had many an eye on his
performance. The current Moto2 and former Moto3 World Champion
was impressing with his adaptation to the GasGas RC16, a machine
that has over twice the horsepower of his old Triumph-powered
Moto2 steed.
World Champion Francesco Bagnaia pounded out the laps on a
revised GP24, the current number one more than happy with the
development work carried out by Ducati as he attempts to become
just the 10th rider in the sport's history to take three MotoGP
championship titles in a row in 2024.
Let's go through each team to see who did what, starting with
the factory teams, as MotoGP parts for the winter break. On-track
action will resume with the first test of 2024 on February 1-3 at
Sepang in Malaysia
