RIP RIR
Riverside International Raceway, aka
RIR, was regarded as one of the best four-
wheel road courses in the country but
also hosted some of the best and most
fun on-/off-road races of the time, like the
Great Bear Grand Prix and the Viewfinders
Gran Prix (pictured) of the 1970s-1980s.
The track closed in 1989, much of it
replaced by a shopping mall.
