Danny Hamel. The trio finished six minutes ahead of the six-rider Dan
Ashcraft, Charles Halcomb, GeoŠ Sanborn, Bob Rutten, Dave
Donatoni and Chuck Miller Honda team... After three seasons with the
number-one plate, Scott Summers wore it for the last time (for a while)
en route to victory at the GNCC finale in Tennessee. Fred Andrews
had already clinched the title.
