A couple of years after they teased the world with the Lucky Explorer 9.5 Con - cept range, MV Agusta has finally released details of the production version of the new LXP Orioli. Named after Edi Orioli, the leg - endary Italian who won the Paris- Dakar four times, it will be limited to 500 editions, each signed by Orioli before leaving the factory. The owners also get a kit that includes the bike's certificate of authenticity, weather cover, a ho - mologated titanium Termignoni exhaust with a carbon fiber end cap and a heat shield. The Orioli is powered by an all- new 931cc inline triple, counter- rotating crank, double overhead cams with diamond-like coating (DLC), and compression listed at 13.4:1. MV Agusta claims 124 horsepower at 10,000 rpm, with torque at 75 lb-ft. A handy 85 percent of that is available from 3000 rpm. There's a six-axis IMU, five- level (road) and two-level (dirt) lean-angle-sensitive traction control, Cornering ABS, variable engine braking, backlit switches, a seven-inch TFT dash, three rider modes and a custom Rider mode for the throttle response.
