cept range, MV Agusta has finally
released
details of the production
version of the new LXP Orioli.
Named after Edi Orioli, the leg
-
endary Italian who won the Paris-
Dakar
four times, it will be limited
to 500 editions, each signed by
Orioli before leaving the factory.
The owners also get a kit that
includes the bike's certificate of
authenticity, weather cover, a ho

mologated titanium Termignoni
exhaust
with a carbon fiber end
cap and a heat shield.
The Orioli is powered by an all-
new 931cc inline triple, counter-
rotating crank, double overhead
cams with diamond-like coating
(DLC), and compression listed
at 13.4:1. MV Agusta claims 124
horsepower at 10,000 rpm, with
torque at 75 lb-ft. A handy 85
percent of that is available from
3000 rpm.
There's a six-axis IMU, five-
level (road) and two-level (dirt)
lean-angle-sensitive traction
control, Cornering ABS, variable
engine braking, backlit switches,
a seven-inch TFT dash, three
rider modes and a custom Rider
mode for the throttle response.
