CHANG INTERNATIONAL CIRCUIT / BURIRAM PROVINCE, THAILAND
MOTOGP I FIM MOTOGP WORLD CHAMPIONSHIP
P60
Try as they did, no one could
stop Martin, who played the de-
fensive line perfectly in the last
corner
to thwart Binder, drag-
ging the KTM to the line for the
win.
However, it would be late
heartache for Binder, who ex-
ceeded track limits on the final
lap
and was thus demoted one
place, meaning Bagnaia, now
second in the GP, has his points
lead buffered to 13 instead of
nine, as it could have been with
-
out Binder's demotion.
"For
sure, it was one of the
best races of my life," said Mar-
tin. "Normally, when there is a big
battle, I struggle
to brake hard
or overtake. Brad and Pecco are
the strongest in braking. To be
ultra-tight nature of the right-
hander ensured it was a fruitless
move, and he slotted back into
third as they started the last lap.
Bagnaia sent it big style into
the last corner on the penulti-
mate lap, around the outside of
both
Martin and Binder, but the
Augusto Fernandez (25) leads
Morbidelli in the Sprint Race.
