Our cover story 50 years ago was our "Great Cycle News Shock Test,"
where we tried to determine which was the best set of shocks for your
MX bike. We compared eight of the hottest brands of shocks, such as
Koni, Boge, Girling, Curnutt, Betors and S&W. We concluded they all
could be better... We had coverage of the 125cc MX European World
Championship from Yugoslavia. Factory Zundapp rider Andre Malherbe
won the title at 17 years of age. (The 125cc MX World Championship
started in 1975)... Adolf Weil won the Trans-AMA MX in Georgia.
