Our cover story 50 years ago was our "Great Cycle News Shock Test," where we tried to determine which was the best set of shocks for your MX bike. We compared eight of the hottest brands of shocks, such as Koni, Boge, Girling, Curnutt, Betors and S&W. We concluded they all could be better... We had coverage of the 125cc MX European World Championship from Yugoslavia. Factory Zundapp rider Andre Malherbe won the title at 17 years of age. (The 125cc MX World Championship started in 1975)... Adolf Weil won the Trans-AMA MX in Georgia.
