A random crash sequence of photos was featured on the cover of Cycle
News 50 years ago. The photos were taken at the Trans-AMA motocross
in Washington, Indiana, where German Maico rider Willi Bauer took the
win over Hakan Andersson and Jimmy Weinert. Gerrit Wolsink, also
on a Maico, won the first moto but crashed in the second moto... The
CN sta• compared the Montesa King Scorpion to the Yamaha DT-250
Enduro. We also tested the Kawasaki 400 S-3 street bike... Marland
Whaley won the California Trials Championship round in Valencia.
