B
MW has gone through
their flagship GS model
from top-to-bottom for
the 2024 model year, releas-
ing a new 1300 to replace the
outgoing 1250.
Starting at $18,895, the R
1300 GS is scheduled to arrive
in early 2024 and is available
in the base mode, GS Trophy,
Triple Black, or the green Op
-
tion 719 Tramuntana.
The most powerful boxer
twin ever to come from BMW
propels the new GS, with
BMW claiming 145 horse
-
power at 7750 rpm and
110 lb-ft of torque at
6500 rpm.
The chassis is likewise all
new, with much of the focus
on reducing the overall dimen-
sions and moving away from
the trend of maxi-ADV bikes
getting progressively larger
with each new model. A new
Evo Telelever debuts for the
front suspension, a longer
swingarm, and the new Para
-
lever handles rear suspension
duties, and the subframe is
now a striking cast aluminum
unit that does away with the
traditional tubular steel item.
This is also the first BMW
to come with Front Collision
Warning, which will apply a
little bit of brake to reduce the
impending impact—but it won't
save you from a crash. The
new GS also comes with radar-
adaptive cruise control and
blind spot detection.
There's way more to cover
with the new GS, so if you want

new 2024 BMW R1300 GS.
