Dall'Igna Says
Marquez Has
Decided To
Leave Honda

fter a weekend of not-so-
subtle hints from Marc Mar-
quez regarding his future, Ducati
Corse's General Manager Gigi
Dall'Igna revealed the rider has
already decided to leave Honda
at the end of 2023 in favor of
Gresini Ducati.
Speaking to Sky Italia's An

tonio Boselli on Sunday night,
Dall'Igna said, "Marc is one of
the strongest riders in history.
So, the fact he strongly wants
to get on a Ducati can only be
pleasing. He's decided to leave
Honda for an unofficial Ducati:
all the more this underlines the
fact that he wants our bike."
The Italian engineer did then
clarify that Marquez exiting his
current HRC contract one year
early is a "complicated" mat

ter and may take some time.
"This is what I heard. Clearly,
there isn't an official announce
-
ment yet. I think there are a lot
of things to do, and I think it's a
complicated contract to break.
In the event that he wants to
break it clearly... But it seems to
me that the declarations made
are these. From our point of
view, they are pleasing."
