Kawasaki unveiled the 50th
Anniversary Edition KX450 on
stadium's floor after unloading
the bike from a box van, which
was used by the factory teams
back then, and Jeff "Chicken"
Matiasevich hopping on the
bike and grabbing a few gears
down the track's long straight
-
away. Kawasaki could not
have gotten more '90s than
that.
Prior to the unveiling, several
Kawasaki legends and cham
-
pions gathered and took a trip
down memory lane by chat-
ting about the "old" days and
some of their most memorable
moments. It was bench racing
at its best. Of course, stealing
the stage was Jimmy Wein
-
ert, who hasn't lost any of his
enthusiasm when it comes to
racing. Other legendary Kawa-
saki riders who shared stories
included Brad Lackey, Jeff
Ward, Damon Huffman, Jeff
"Chicken" Matiasevich, Mike
Kiedrowski, Mike LaRocco,
Mike Craig, Ryan Hughes, Jeff
Emig and Ryan Villopoto.
The 50th Anniversary Edi
-
tion KX450 sells for $10,699,
KX450X $10,599 and KX250
$9099.
