However, the biggest cheer
was for Kayla Yaakov (Tytlers
Cycle Racing Kawasaki). In only
her third MotoAmerica Supers-
port race, the 16-year-old proved
to everyone she is a force to be
reckoned with by taking third,
1.6 seconds off the win. Yaakov
bettered David Anthony (Wrench
Motorcycles Suzuki) and Josh
Hayes (Squid Hunter Racing
Yamaha).
Race two was an all-Josh
Hayes affair as the wily veteran
extended his record for most
AMA career wins across all
classes to 88. The Mississippi
Madman was the class of the
field as he sped to a 5.7-second
win again over Mazziotto and
Jake Lewis (Disrupt Racing
Suzuki) with Yaakov fourth and
Anthony fifth.
A no-score for Fores in the
last race was no problem for
the Spaniard in the title race. He
takes a record-setting rookie
title with nine wins and 364
points from Tyler Scott at 304
and Hayes at 256.
