Morbidelli Joins Pramac Ducati
F
ranco Morbidelli has finally been
confirmed as the second rider for
the Prima Pramac Racing Team for
the 2024 MotoGP World Champion-
ship alongside incumbent Jorge
Martin.
Morbidelli will replace Johann
Zarco, who has signed to replace
Alex Rins at the LCR Honda outfit.
"It is a pleasure for us to welcome
Franco Morbidelli to our factory-sup
-
ported Pramac Racing team for the
upcoming sports season, riding an
official Desmosedici GP," said Ducati
General Manager Luigi Dall'Igna.
"Franco is a rider of great talent and
experience, and on more than one
occasion, he has demon
-
strated his strength and
speed. It's no coincidence
that in 2020, he was the Mo-
toGP vice-world champion,
winning three Grand Prix
races. We are confident that,
together with the Pramac
Racing team and thanks to
our support, he will be able
to show his full potential."
Morbidelli joins Pramac
after two dismal, injury-hit
seasons at the factory Mon
-
ster Energy Yamaha team that saw
him go from second in the world in
2020 to 19th in 2023.
