Team USA Still Undecided For MXoN S till no word on Team USA and the Motocross of Na- tions. After winning last year at RedBud, many of the same team riders are out for the 2023 event. Eli Tomac is still recovering from his Achilles injury, Justin Cooper is getting married the weekend of MXoN, and Chase Sex - ton is likely to be under contract with a new team, most likely KTM. Sexton still could be in for this year, depending on his team situation. Haiden Deegan is the obvious pick for MX2, but we hear he's only interested if Sexton chooses to be on the team. RJ Hampshire, Aaron Plessinger and Jus - tin Barcia are other riders linked to this year's team. CN VOLUME ISSUE SEPETEMBER , P41 Team USA hinges on what Chase Sexton will do when it comes to this year's Motocross of Nations. Supermoto Shootout Is On T he inaugural North American Supermoto Shootout (NASS) event is planned for October 28-29, 2023, at the Oklahoma Motorsports Complex in Norman, Oklahoma. This shootout event is a partner- ship between all of the leading re- gional promoters SMEC Supermoto (East), California's SupermotoUSA, with Cascadia Supermoto (West), Colorado Supermoto (Central) and Supermoto Quebec (Canada). Each partner promoter has held a regional qualifier during their current 2023 seasons allowing those participating in the qualifying classes to earn the required points to participate in the NASS event. The Oklahoma Motorsports Complex is a 0.7-mile 12-turn sprint circuit that will incorporate a rede - signed 0.4-mile dirt section that will provide the battleground. CN The year's biggest Supermoto race will be held next month in Oklahoma.
