Utilizing Alpinestars' Tech-Air technology,
Rev'It! has released its first airbag vest,
the Avertum, which is expected to be in
Rev'It! dealers later this year. Made for
wearing under a regular riding jacket or
suit, the vented Avertum Tech-Air boosts
impact protection by deploying a protective
airbag in the event of a crash. It uses AI
crash-detection algorithms to deploy
within 40 milliseconds. It offers up to 95
percent impact-force reduction compared
to passive protection, which is equivalent
to 18 CE-level 1 back protectors.

The new Enduro Trail-XT+ tires from Mitas are for
riding mostly off road, but are street legal for paved
roads and highways. The all-season M+S-rated tire
has an aggressive tread pattern for traction on the
toughest of trails. The tires come in two versions, a
standard for all-around performance in any weather
and a Dakar version, which has a reinforced carcass
for added durability and puncture resistance.
