n sweltering conditions that saw
the needle reach over 105 degrees
on Friday and not much cooler
on Saturday and Sunday, the Mo-
toAmerica field descended on Circuit
of The Americas for the first time as a
standalone round and not as second
fiddle to MotoGP.
Jake Gagne and Josh Herrin
emerged as the victors in the two
Superbike encounters, the former put-
ting an exclamation point on his 2023
title while the latter took his second
Superbike victory of the year.
In Supersport, Xavi Fores and Tyler
Scott shared the wins, but it was
Fores who walked away the 2023
series champion after his ninth win of
the season in race one.
For the Steel Commander Stock
1000 Championship runners, it was all
Hayden Gillim who walked away with
two race wins and the 2023 champi-
onship on his Suzuki. Likewise, Tyler
O'Hara won both races in the Mission
Super Hooligan National Champion-
ship to seal a second straight title.
Finally, in the Mission King Of The
Baggers, the title will go down to the
wire at New Jersey after Kyle Wyman
and James Rispoli took the main
race wins, with Bobby Fong emerging
victorious in the hectic three-lap Chal
-
lenge race on Saturday.
