We tested the 1994 Yamaha YZ250 that was pictured on the cover
30 years ago... Ricky Graham won the Indy Mile... Scott Sheak was
the star of the week at Loretta Lynn's. He topped the 125cc and 250cc
Modified classes, winning five out of six motos. James Stewart took
the 51cc Stock (7-8) title. Other class winners included 30+ Champion
Kevin Foley, 85cc Stock (12-13)
Champion Ricky Carmichael and
250cc B Stock Champion Casey
Johnson... We interviewed road
racer Jimmy Filice.
We couldn't decide on one, so we put all of the major winners of
the weekend on the cover 20 years ago... Ricky Carmichael won
both 250cc motos at Spring Creek and James Stewart won the
125cc class... Valentino Rossi won the Czech Grand Prix... We
covered the NATC Trials at Donner Ski Ranch, where Geo' Aaron
took the win... J.R. Schnabel topped the Peoria TT... Mike Alessi
and Davi Millsaps turned heads at Loretta Lynn's.
