Bezzecchi to Stay Put?
M
arco Bezzecchi ap-
pears poised to go
against the wishes of
Ducati bosses and reject
the chance to step up to the
Pramac team with a GP24
next year.
The Italian's decision has
come at the behest of team
owner Valentino Rossi, who
has pushed to keep his pro
-
tege within his own squad.
"Almost certainly, Bezzecchi
will stay with us in 2024," the
nine-time World Champion
told Sky Italia in Austria.
"I'm, in fact, pushing for this.
It's true we won't have the
factory bike next year since
Pramac will have those.
But this doesn't mean it'll
be a problem, as you have
to start from scratch when
you change teams, and your
crew chief doesn't necessar
-
ily follow you. I think he can
win with us."
Bezzecchi said, "To be
pushed by the GOAT is
something that not every
-
one in the world can say. I
made already my decision.
Soon I will communicate it."
Franco Morbidelli could
really benefit from this, and
he is now the favorite to
land a spot at Pramac.
Neil Morrison
Marco Bezzecchi
will, it appears,
remain loyal to
current boss
Valentino Rossi.
