every lap of the race to take his
second moto win of the year.
Moto two wasn't as easy for the
Star Racing Yamaha rider as
he jostled for positions in the
race and the overall. He climbed
as high as fourth and used 1-4
scores to take second. He's now
fifth overall in the series.
"Getting that holeshot was big
for me," Kitchen said. "I just got
up front and tried to hold that
pace. I'm stoked with how the
day went. Another good start in
the second moto and second
overall on the day.
Justin Cooper finished the
day strong to take third overall.
He started up front in moto one,

"It's good, I'm happy to come
away
with the win," Lawrence
said. "I knew he [Jo Shimoda]
was like three seconds back,
and, the corner before the me-
chanic's lane, I made a mistake
and
got squirrelly. I knew I had
to execute a good lap, and obvi-
ously Justin [Cooper] was out
front."
Levi Kitchen claimed second
on the day. If Kitchen can get
a good start, he can win, and
that's precisely what happened
in the first 250MX moto. He
quickly jumped out front and led
they moved their way through
the ranks. Late in the race,
it looked like Lawrence and
Deegan would settle for sec

ond and third, respectively, but
Deegan's
motor had different
plans as it let go with just two
laps to go. A 38th-place finish
dropped him out of a points-
paying position, while Lawrence
went on to take second.
Lawrence then backed it
up with another second-place
result in moto two, proving to be
the most consistent 250MX rid

er of the day. A pair of seconds
earned him the
day's overall vic-
tory and maximized the points
bonus.
He's now 22 points up on
second place.
