O'Halloran Clean Sweeps Thruxton M CAMS Yamaha rider Jason O'Halloran enjoyed the most dominant weekend of his 2023 British Superbike season to date, taking all three wins on offer at Thruxton over the weekend. After learning of his MCAMS Yamaha team's impending departure from the series starting in 2025, O'Halloran was in impervious form at the ultra-fast Hampshire circuit, taking pole position from OMG Yamaha rider Ryan Vickers. Over three races, O'Halloran had to work for his wins, especially in race three in which he only took the lead on the penultimate lap. The Australian rider claimed race one ahead of Charlie Nesbitt (MasterMac Honda by Hawk Racing) and Vickers; race two ahead of Lee Jackson (Cheshire Mouldings Kawasaki) and Nesbitt; and race three from Jackson and Nesbitt. O'Halloran's points haul moves him up to third in the series with 212.5 points, behind the two BeerMonster Ducati riders Tommy Bridewell (263) and Glenn Irwin (236), both of whom suffered a torrid weekend, with a pair of ninth places for both Irwin and Bridewell as good as it got for the championship leaders. "That's the best weekend of my career, com- ing off the back of a couple of average rounds to bounce back like this is exactly what we needed," O'Halloran said. "We've clawed a lot of points back this weekend with pole position and three race wins, which is incredible. I'm now Yamaha's most successful rider in terms of race wins and have 26 BSB wins, which is [also] just incredible. And I've won eight of the last nine races at Thruxton, which is another amazing stat! "This is exactly what the team need- ed, and I think we can carry this momen- tum forward now to Cadwell Park, which is my favorite race of the year." CN WIND IN THE P48 Race One Race Two Race Three
