mechanic) made a small carb adjustment going into Sunday and
that definitely helped."
In addition to the nine points he
took in section six, the only other
section Smage took points in
was section one, where Smage
went 1-2-1. It was a loose and
dusty climb that he just couldn't
quite find the drive up. Smage's
13 points for the day was easily
enough to beat out Roper's 34
point score for the win.
Bolopue finished third with 45,
while Storz finished fourth with 58.
Sherco USA rider Sam Fastle finished fifth in his debut ride as a Pro.
With just two rounds remaining, Smage holds a 48-point lead
in the standings over Roper (240192).
