the second 450 moto
took out a number of
riders, including Trey
Canard (41).
Red Bull KTM's Ryan Dungey,
the only rider within reach of Villopoto in the championship, had
an off day, finishing third with a
2-4 finish. His titles hopes having
all been dashed.
In the 250 class, Eli Tomac is
now on a three-race run of domination that has transformed him
from playing catch-up to Ken
Roczen to protecting a massive
lead. The GEICO Honda rider
is currently riding a six-moto
win streak and heads into the
penultimate round of the series in Utah with a comfortable
39-point lead in the standings
over Roczen.
