You can't do much better than that. Why the big turnaround from Millville to Unadilla? Villopoto credited a new suspension setup, tested by the team in California and sent to him in Florida during the week off, as the determining factor. "Millville was a struggle for us, we were a bit off on the settings we had there," said Villopoto. "During the weekend off, though, we went back and did some homework and came in here with some new suspension settings. At Millville, we knew what we had and we knew what we needed to fix, and the team ended up fixing it. They did it, actually, in California and sent it to me to try, and I was pumped with how it worked today." The big key for RV2 came down to his two vaulting starts. Coming into this race, Villopoto had just one holeshot on the year, and to come away with two in one race was huge and it provided him with just the right leverage to get away from the pack early on the deeply rutted track. Villopoto thought his new suspension settings played a part in his starts as well. "Going back to what we did on the bike, I think that helped with the starts too," said Villopoto.
