Deegan on the other hand fol-
lowed Lawrence for most of the
first moto before capitalizing on
Lawrence's mechanical. A crash
in moto two, along with "blow-
ing up" his energy resources,
Shimoda. "During the week I've
basically only done testing, so it's
been hard for me to get this flow
going of being at the races, doing
two 30s at pace. Today with the
win, I think the team deserves
it more than I do. They've been
working super hard for me, and I
finally get to show something."
It was a disappointing day for
Hunter Lawrence, as he watched
his points lead slip through his
hands like the sand in an hour

glass. A mechanical failure in
moto one resulted in two DNFs
in back-to-back weekends. He
ran as high as fourth for nearly
the entire moto before his CRF
let go. He then struggled in
moto two for an eighth-place
finish, beating rival Deegan but
