Memorial Fund Established For "Dang" R oad2Recovery has estab- lished a memorial fund to honor Chris "Dang" McAvoy. McAvoy was the District Sales Manager, PG&A for KTM Corporation and was the Ya - maha of Troy Team Manager in the 2000s, helping guide the team to the 2008 AMA West Region Supercross Champion - ship with rider Jason Lawrence. McAvoy, who reportedly took his own life, leaves behind a young daughter. Road2Rocovery said, "This memorial fund has been estab - lished in his name to support his beloved daughter's needs during his absence. The fund aims to provide financial assistance to ensure her well-being and help to fulfill her dreams." CN WIND IN THE P40 HiTorque Publisher Passes R oland Hinz, owner Presi- dent and Publisher of HiTorque Publishing Com- pany since the early 1980s, passed away at the age of 84. Hinz was the face behind Dirt Bike and Motocross Action magazines, includ- ing several other publica- tions, including Dirt Wheels magazine, one of his most successful, which focused on ATVs and UTVs. Hinz also published bicycle magazines Road Bike Ac- tion, Mountain Bike Action, BMX Plus and various other magazines throughout his career. He was also the manag - ing member of HiFavor Broadcasting, LLC, the licensee of radio stations KLTXAM, Long Beach, Cali - fornia, and KEZYAM, San Bernardino, California, and radio station KSDOAM, San Diego, California. He also served on the Board of Di - rectors of the Association for Community Education, Inc., a not-for-profit corpo - ration operating Spanish Christian radio stations in California. CN Roland Hinz, owner President and Editor in Chief of HiTorque Publishing Company, passed away at the age of 84.
