Sexton is still racing himself back into shape. ROUND 6 / JULY 8, 2023 THE WICK 338, SOUTHWICK, MASSACHUSETTS MOTOCROSS I PRO MOTOCROSS CHAMPIONSHIP / SUPERMOTOCROSS WORLD CHAMPIONSHIP P64 7 AARON PLESSINGER 4TH (4-4) 450MX Aaron Plessinger is struggling with a sore back but still toughed it out for two fourth-place finishes. "A 4-4 on the day for Southwick—it's alright, I can't be mad at it. I felt solid all day, the first moto I struggled with comfort a little bit, and then for the second moto, we made good changes, but I just struggled a little bit with my body in that one. Super-rough track today— it was a hot one out here—but my back is slowly improving." 238 HAIDEN DEEGAN 6TH (4-10) 250MX Haiden Deegan will have to take the good with the bad as he finished out- side the top five but takes the cham- pionship lead. "In the first moto, we went from 10th to fourth, which I was happy with. I got a little pinched off at the start, so I was happy to be able to ride the sand and dig through that. The second moto was a bit of a struggle for me. I was just fatigued a bit, so we've got to work on that. It's always good to find some weaknesses that we can work on during the week. We're leav- ing with the points lead." MYOWNRACE Lawrence turned it up when Chase Sexton got close.
