Superhooligans
The Superhooligans were back
in action for their second round
of the year and it looked like it
was a factory Indian Motorcy-
cle/ Progressive/ Mission Foods
benefit as
Tyler O'Hara and
Jeremy McWilliams lapped clear
out in front in both races.
O'Hara took the opening race
win by 0.9 seconds after getting
the better of teammate McWil-
liams with local Andy DiBrino
(DiBrino Racing KTM) in third,
while
Cory West (Team Saddle-
men Harley-Davidson) and
Bobby
Fong (RSD/Indian Motor-
cycle) rounded out the top five.
It was a similar story
in race
two with the factory Indians
clear out in front but this time it
was McWilliams who held firm
for the win, outfoxing O'Hara
late in the race with DiBrino in
third. Or so he thought.
It was later revealed that
factory Indian team had been
protested, and that the ends of
the handlebars were found to
be below the top plane of the
triple clamp, which is a violation
of the class's technical rules.
