Roof Of Africa Returns
T
he iconic Roof of Africa hard
enduro is back for 2023,
scheduled for November 29 –
December 2. While this year's
round is not on the FIM Hard
Enduro World Championship
(HEWC) calendar, WESS GmbH,
promoters of the HEWC, is
pleased to announce that they
have held positive preliminary
talks with the new promoter of
the iconic Roof of Africa event,
with a view to include the RoA
in the 2024 Hard Enduro World
Championship series.
Provisionally planned as a
round of the 2023 FIM HEWC,
due to issues "outside of the
control of WESS," the Roof of
Africa did not feature in the 2023
championship.
Now, with a new promoter
in place WESS is committed
to continuing and developing
talks with Ross Whitehead / Pro
Touch Global Za to potentially
see the Roof of Africa included
as a round in the HEWC series in
2024.
