up front all day and looked to
be a favorite for the win in race
one. The 250MX rookie inherited
the lead when Hampshire hit the
ground and used every inch of
the track to keep the lead intact.
He was oh-so-close to his sec

ond-moto win but got passed
by
Hampshire on the final lap.
Deegan then fell on the start of
race two but put in a veteran-like
charge to grab sixth.
"The first moto was solid, I
was happy with that," Deegan
said. "Second moto, me and
Jordon Smith locked bars and
I went down and got ran over.
